A revitalized legacy
Habanos, in its early days, was a promise of flavor that had not yet reached its full potential. It was at that time that Eduardo Ramos, an American with deep roots in Cuban culture, and Jorge Pedraza, a Cuban immigrant who brought with him the flavors of his homeland, joined forces to reimagine this space. With a shared passion for gastronomy and a deep respect for Cuba’s culinary traditions, both entrepreneurs embarked on an adventure that would completely transform this restaurant.
Under the guidance of Jorge and Eduardo, Habanos became a tribute to Cuba’s rich culinary heritage. Each dish, made with fresh ingredients and recipes passed down from previous generations, is a love letter to the island. From the classic Moro rice with fried sweet plantains and the Ropa Vieja to the irresistible Roasted Pork, each bite transports diners to the colorful streets of Havana.

Food Philosophy
Cuban cuisine is a blend of African, Spanish, and Caribbean cultures, which come together to create an explosion of flavor in every bite.
Spices like cumin, oregano, garlic, and black pepper reign supreme, while fresh herbs like cilantro, basil, and coriander add a touch of freshness and complexity. Sofrito, an aromatic base of onion, garlic, and pepper, is the soul of many dishes, and mojo, a garlic- and citrus-based sauce, gives it an unmistakable sweet-sour touch. In Cuban cuisine, food is much more than just nourishment: it is an expression of identity, a way of sharing and celebrating life.
